What You’ll Do

As a Backend Engineer, you'll architect and ship backend logic that powers real-world automation for hundreds of companies. You’ll design services, integrate APIs, and help us build reliable backend infrastructure that just works—even at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain backend services using Node.js (or Go / Python – we're flexible)

  • Design and document scalable REST and webhook-based APIs

  • Integrate with third-party platforms like HighLevel, Clay, Notion, Supabase, Airtable, and more

  • Set up background job workers, queues, and fail-safes to ensure robustness

  • Work closely with frontend and automation engineers to build end-to-end features

  • Own monitoring, logging, and alerting (we care about ops, not just code)

  • Continually optimize for performance, simplicity, and maintainability

Requirements

  • 3+ years experience in backend development with modern frameworks

  • Solid experience integrating external APIs (REST, OAuth, Webhooks)

  • Experience with at least one cloud platform (e.g., Vercel, AWS, GCP, or Supabase)

  • Comfortable designing and optimizing relational and/or NoSQL databases

  • Strong understanding of async processing, rate limiting, and retries

  • Independent problem solver who doesn’t wait to be told what to fix

  • Bonus: Experience with n8n, Make.com, or other workflow/automation platforms
